From January 21-25, 2013, 16 of the world’s top luxury watch brands showcased their new product lines at SIHH
in Geneva. Among the companies represented was Panerai which gave the private guests of the event a sneak peak at its new novelties for 2013. Panerai’s General Manager for the Eastern Europe region, Marcel Roessner was on hand to give attendees a preview of the watches that will be available in the coming months. Some of the newest watches on display included:
- The Panerai Luminor 1950 Regatta 3 Days Chrono Flyback Titanio- This watch includes the new automatic chronograph calibre P.9100R and a countdown-time feature located at the 4 o’clock mark. It’s made of brushed titanium and is water-resistant to approximately 100 meters. Part of the Contemporary Collection, it comes with a replaceable rubber strap.
The Panerai Radiomir 1940- Part of the Historic Collection, this watch has a similar–yet thinner–case as the original 1940 design. Its steel case is a mere 42 millimeters in diameter and the P.999 movement is the smallest and thinnest that is produced by Panerai. It comes with a black alligator strap, has a sapphire crystal window and a power reserve of 60 hours.
The Panerai Luminor Submersible 1950 2500m 3 Days Automatic Titanio- This model is one of the 2013 special editions and is limited to just 500 pieces. This automatic watch has 28 jewels, the case is made of brushed titanium and is 47 millimeters in diameter. It features anti-reflective coating and is water resistant to approximately 2500 meters. An second interchangeable strap is included.
