From January 21-25, 2013, 16 of the world’s top luxury watch brands showcased their new product lines at SIHH

in Geneva. Among the companies represented was Panerai which gave the private guests of the event a sneak peak at its new novelties for 2013. Panerai’s General Manager for the Eastern Europe region, Marcel Roessner was on hand to give attendees a preview of the watches that will be available in the coming months. Some of the newest watches on display included:

  1. The Panerai Luminor 1950 Regatta 3 Days Chrono Flyback Titanio- This watch includes the new automatic chronograph calibre P.9100R and a countdown-time feature located at the 4 o’clock mark. It’s made of brushed titanium and is water-resistant to approximately 100 meters. Part of the Contemporary Collection, it comes with a replaceable rubber strap.
  2. The Panerai Radiomir 1940- Part of the Historic Collection, this watch has a similar–yet thinner–case as the original 1940 design. Its steel case is a mere 42 millimeters in diameter and the P.999 movement is the smallest and thinnest that is produced by Panerai. It comes with a black alligator strap, has a sapphire crystal window and a power reserve of 60 hours.
  3. The Panerai Luminor Submersible 1950 2500m 3 Days Automatic Titanio- This model is one of the 2013 special editions and is limited to just 500 pieces. This automatic watch has 28 jewels, the case is made of brushed titanium and is 47 millimeters in diameter. It features anti-reflective coating and is water resistant to approximately 2500 meters. An second interchangeable strap is included.
These new models, especially the limited editions watches, are expected to be sold out quickly. You can expect to find them on boutique shelves in Summer 2013.  With the introduction of the new PAM’s, expect to see more pre-owned Panerai watches available for sale through dealers and at trade shows as enthusiasts “trade-up” for the latest Panerai novelties.

  1. I was shopping for a watch to get my husband for his birthday and ran across this site. This is a really great blog post and a beautiful watch, where would I be able to get a hold of one of these? I was extremely surprised that this was also water resistant because it doesn’t look like one that should be in water.

  2. I am not a fan of expensive wrist watches. In fact, I don’t even wear a watch. However, this watch is impressive and tempting for me. I love unique styles of watches as opposed to the typical chrome / silver bands with a simple time piece face. This Panerai Luminor 1950 Regatta 3 Days Chrono Flyback Titanio is a cool looking watch that looks like something a black opps soldier would wear. I want it!

  3. What a miminal, yet elegant time piece this Panerai Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days Automatic Ceramica – PAM508 is. If this site has a watch that looks anything like the watches that were showcased in Geneva, it should make for quite a gift for a special person in your life, without breaking your budget. I think I will have a look through the online links.

  4. This is a beautiful watch and very manly. The material looks like it is a very durable material and the structure looks well protected. The crystal can probably still be broken or scratched easily but that when put together with the benefits of the watch out weighs everything else. Thank you for posting this it is unique and a special gift idea.
